Monza was my first Spinone and came to live with us when he was 7 weeks old. He was bought as a pet as I had recently sold my horse and couldn't bear to be without a four legged friend. I could never have imagined what an impact he would have on my life.

I was encouraged to show him by a breeder of Newfoundlands who lived in our village so off we went to ringcraft classes. He was a natural from the word go, a real showman he loved all the attention of the ring and had many supporters at the ringside.

He was Best Puppy at his first open show, aged 11 months and best puppy dog at the very first ISCGB open show in 1989. He was Best in Show at the ISCGB open show in 1991, Best brown roan at the open show in 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1996 and Best Brown Roan ISCGB annual awards in 1995 and 1996(joint). He won 2 Challenge Certificates, 3 Reserve Challenge Certificates and was Best in Show at the ISCGB championship show 1995.

Monza was my constant companion and soul mate, he never left my side and was there to see me through some very difficult moments in my life. He was a real comedian and loved life, never missed an opportunity to show off any new tricks I had taught him and always laughed his way round the show ring, commanding attention. My uncrowned champion I still miss and love him very much.
