Dulcie was born just before we lost our much loved first Spinone, Dante, at the age of 6 with bloat. Paula McGregor kindly let us have the only brown bitch in her litter from Cenerentola of Connomar at Armando, by Int It Ch Briciola del Monte Amiata at Spiriton. She was a joy to live with, a real charmer right to the end, full of fun and loved by everyone who met her.

A friend who was so frightened of dogs all her life, when found with her arms around Dulcie said "But it's not a dog, it's Dulcie." All the prospective puppy buyers who came to see Spinoni in their home environment were won over by her "Sales Pitch" - upside down having her tummy tickled.

Dulcie had a long, successful Show career winning many Best Puppy Awards then 3 CC's (under Val Woodward - 1994, Zena Thorn Andrews - 1995 and Shirley Roberts - 1998), and 2 Res CCs.

She was Top (joint) brown roan bitch in 1994 and 1995.

In 1997 at the ISCGB Open Show (Entry 200) judged by Sig. Nadir Guerrini, Dulcie was Res Best In Show then again in 2000 (at just on 8 years) - judge Pat Wilkinson.

She also won the Veteran Stakes at Gundog Society of Wales in 1999 - judge Clive Davies.

As members of that Special breed known as "dog lovers" we have loved them all but every so often a very special dog comes along and Dulcie was such a one. She will be sorely missed by family, friends, Sophie, Tarenna and Penny and especially by Kerra, her best friend, settee sharer and constant companion.
